Employment Disputes - Legal Expenses

Defence of an action by an employee or ex-employee over a contract of employment (includes defence of Unfair Dismissal claims).
Defence of actions under Anti-discrimination (pay) Act.
Defence of actions under Maternity (Protection of Employees) Act.
Defence of actions under Employment Equality Act.

Employment – Compensation Financial Awards

Covers awards of compensation made by the Employment Appeals Tribunal following a claim under the Employment Disputes Legal Expenses Cover. (Annual aggregate limit €634,869-£ 500,000). Normal ‘HR Company’ procedures must be followed.

Legal Defence – Policyholders Protection

Defence of non-motor prosecutions arising from normal business.
Appeals against Improvement or Prohibition Notices under the Safety
Health and Welfare at Work Act, Sale of Food and Drugs Code or the Health Acts.
Appeals against Information Enforcement Transfer Prohibition or refusal or withdrawal of Registration notice under the Data Protection Act.
Jury Service cover

Legal Defence

Provides for employees all the cover given under Policyholders Protection, plus Pension Fund Trustee cover.

Property Protection and Personal Injury

Pursuit of claims following negligence, nuisance or trespass by a third party causing physical damage to material property.
At the Policyholders request, pursuit of claims following bodily injury to or death of employees following a non-motor accident arising from employment.

Revenue Commissioners Investigations

Representation following an in-depth investigation by the Revenue Commissioners.
Representation following a PAYE investigation by the Revenue Commissioners.
Representation in a dispute over PAYE following a PAYE audit.
(Accountants fees limit €31,743-£ 25,000 per incident).
