Tracking your employees Absenteeism and Annual Leave in 2025
The HR Company have created an “Absenteeism and Annual Leave Tracker” for anyone who wishes to have a tracking system for annual leave for their employees. This tracker will be useful for those Employers that do not already have a method of tracking employee’s annual leave or for Employers who do not have all annual leave tracked through their payroll system. We have also devised an ‘Absenteeism Tracker’ which you may also find beneficial.
At the following link you will find our Public Holiday Information page to help assist calculating employees entitlements for public holidays in the coming year. These should be calculated by one of the following methods:
- If an employee works on the public holiday, they are entitled to their payment for hours worked on the PH plus an additional days pay. To determine the additional days’ is should be based on one-fifth of the employee’s weekly pay (an average of their day’s pay or the fifth of their weekly pay is calculated over the 13 weeks they worked before the Public Holiday).
- If the employee normally works on the day the PH falls, they are entitled to their normal days’ pay for the day, in addition to the Public Holiday off.
- If an employee does not normally work on the day the Public Holiday falls and is not required to work on the Public Holiday they are entitled to one-fifth of their normal weekly wage.
