Under 18s Employment Register

Manage Your Employment Records

The Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act (1996) states that all employers are required to have a register for any employees under the age of 18 that are working for them. This act ensures that young people are protected and that their education is not in jeopardy.

In the event of a NERA inspection the company must provide the inspector with its register for employees under 18.

Information that must be┬ácovered in the register includes the employee’s name, age and number of hours worked
